چکیده

Introduction: Lack of knowledge and awareness about hospital waste has been a concern amid inadequate management facilities ineffective policies. Objectives: To isolate the bacteria from sample collected different departments study sensitivity profile isolated bacteria. Method: Cross-sectional was conducted for period 3 months examining solid Hetauda Bagmati Province. Untreated samples were like general wards, ICU/HDU, Emergency, OPD, Pharmacy, Laboratories. Battery biochemical performed according to guideline Bergey’s Manual Determinative Bacteriology. At end, pattern isolates determined by measuring zones inhibition with calibrated ruler, also interpreted Clinical Laboratory standards institute(CLSI) criteria. Result: A total 540 isolated. Among them higher number emergency department wards. Both gram positive negative wards/department shown percentage resistant antibiotics; Ciprofloxacin, Ceftazidine, Cefotaxime, Gentamycin, Penicilin, piperatazobactum, imipenem, linezolid cephalexin. Conclusion: Antibiotic antibiotic greater public health threats. The facilities/waste in should be properly handled regular monitoring performed.

Keratinolytic Bacteria Isolated from Feather Waste

The aim of this study was to characterize keratinolytic bacteria isolated from feather waste. Four isolates were selected after growth on solid medium with feather meal as sole carbon and nitrogen source and screened for proteolytic activity on milk agar plates. Three isolates were Gram-negative (belonged to the genera Burkholderia, Chryseobacterium and Pseudomonas) and one was Gram-positive (M...
